Found this source on the web today (4/2024) I thought I'd share it. This company is making molded full floor carpet for 1977 to 1983 pickups, which should also fit pickups back to 1972. Everything is US made and appears to be good quality. Here's the page link for that:

I haven't personally dealt with this company (but think I probably will in the future). I got a carpet kit from them probably 4 years ago. Fit floor and trans tunnel contours pretty well right out of the box. Had to "work it in" a bit in some places and had to make the cuts for the seat bracket bit and shifter holes, but that makes sure it fits your setup. Also, you have to custom trim the edges and up in footwell area.
Overall I'm totally satisfied, and it has held up. The price at the time was crazy cheap, but I didn't look at current prices.

 

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds pretty reasonable and I for one would rather have it a bit larger so it could be custom fit instead of just a bit too small in the wrong areas.

UPDATE: It looks like Rock Auto is also offering the same molded carpet kits.

 

Ordered Grey & was hoping carpet would be closer to the same color as the heel pad, but looks more light brown. (Pic is accurate) 😔

 

Thank you for the post. I just bought a 78 and I need the carpet as well as new seat cushions and covers. Do you guys know a source for the seat cushion / foam and covers too. It is an SR5 with the bucket seats.
