Question Side Markers

Will the front and rear side markers for an '82 pickup fit an '81 pickup? I found some new assembles to replace my old busted up ones, but I'm not sure if the '82 connectors are the same as my '81.

Do you mean the wire connectors? If they are not the same it would be easy to replace them with new matching connectors, like bullet connectors.

I wish I could find new gaskets for mine. My lenses are OK so far. I'll probably end up having to make some.

Yeah I should have clarified...I meant are the wire connectors for the '82 side markers compatible with the wire harness connectors on my '81? I thought I read somewhere where they were not, but I wanted to verify. My front side marker assemblies are decent at best and the rears are completely shot.

To be honest I haven't removed mine yet to see what they are, but it should only be two wires with some kind of bullet connector. Maybe Toyota made it more complicated. The dealer told me they could get me the complete assemblies for (from memory) around 40 bucks apiece but all I wanted was gaskets. They don't sell them individually. Mine is an '81, I need to put that in a sig line....

There are two different model assemblies for Toyota truck beds. If you have a US bed they are still available from Toyota but if you have a truck bed made in Japan they are not. The US truck bed units should plug into your harness but the units for the bed made in Japan will not. I just purchased a pair for my Japan bed.
