I found seats out of a mazda 323. Dont remember the year but they bolted right up. Except for a couple of holes that needed to be drilled out on the truck because of the bench seat. They are fairly comfortable. Drivers seat has lumbar and some other cool s***.

i had '85 4runner SR5 seats in my 79, comfy, fit almost perfect, adjustable
other than that i had S10 seats in there, an stock '82 toy bench, and a stock '80 bench...the SR5 seats were by far the best

i've also seen people use Jeep Grand Cherokee seats, which are pretty comfy btw

I have got a set of SR5 4Runner seats in my '81. Basically pretty comfortable but they are kind of wide. I need to find something a little narrower for when I install a cage sometime next year...

SonofMayhem had a set of Tacoma seats in an '82

I like what 82Yota did with some integra seats:

VW Rabbit GTI/Cabriolet seats might work pretty well, Really comfy and they come in tons of colors and since there is so many Cabriolets/Rabbits around they arent hard to find.. they flip forward, have height settings and im sure you can take the seat belt buckles off.

Hey guys - new here

I have a 1980 pickup lifted 3 inch body and 4 inch suspension on 33's.

When i bought it, the truck had tan sunfire seats - needless to say, they were ty.

I picked up some leather buckets out of a porsche, and these bad boys are freakin comfortable! I'll post up some pics - but its pretty neat having a power driver seat in a 1980 pickup. Bolt holes didnt line up, but I dont care, I just welded them in.

Any small car seats would be the way to go honda or acura usually look the best. I've always found that goin to a junkyard that permits you to graze their lot is the way to go

What model did you find? I know 914 or 914-6 seats would work great but hard to find in decent shape....

How wide are those V-Dub seats running? I need to find something a little narrower than the 4Runner seats that I have because with as wide as they are I won't be able to get my planned full cage in.
I had a set of Fiero seats (20 years ago) that I mounted in my old 64 VW Notchback that would have been perfect but Fiero seats are always destroyed when I find them because idiots cut them for the speakers...

If you can find 88-89 Mazda 323 GT or GTX 's in a junkyard their seats are some of the best I have ever encountered.. (extremely rare cars- GT with turbo and GTX with turbo and All wheel drive-roughly 1600 per year imported to US)

Lumbar, tilt, bolster controls-probably more that I am forgetting about

probably best if you're on the lean side, the heavier guys likely would not see the appeal in them. No offense intended or accepted-I'm about 150 dripping wet.

My new favorite seats are 89-95 Toyota SR5 buckets, they have the best adjustments, super comfy trying to find a pair.

I have Cerullo GT seats in mine - they even make brackets that fit perfectly. They have gotten a lot more expensive over the years, but a brand-new set of seats that are a perfect, no-hassle fit can't be beat.

Anybody tried Subaru seats? Never hear anything mentioned about those. Once my truck's running I'll be going to some junk yards to look for seats.

X2

The seats in my '92 4-Runner were my all time favorites. They should fit 1st Gens with minimal modifications.
