Round headlight conversion question??

I've read the threads where guys did it, but I never read anything regarding the wiring. Is it plug and play mating the old square headlight wiring/plugs with the round headlights from a 1980 Toy mini? I'm assuming it is since nothing was ever mentioned regarding it on any of the threads I've searched. Any info regarding this conversion?

The headlights are plug and play, but the side markers have different plugs. Easy enough to cut and splice the new ones, most kits should come with wiring for the side markers. I did this conversion over the summer, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

How many holes did you have to drill to mount the headlight buckets?

Didn't have to drill any new holes, they're all there. But I did have to use bolts and nuts because there aren't weld nuts installed in those holes on the 82-83s.

I've always thought a dual beam setup would look cool on a first gen but that would be a lot of work....

...That's why I would kind of like to try to fit an 77 cab/front body onto my frame. I have no idea if it's possible and nobody is offering me a cab anyway, but I like those earlier trucks.
