Removing oil pan '82 2wd

So I have a slight oil leak...

ANYways... I need to replace the oil pan gasket, I'm supposed to take the steering stuff out to do it but I don't want to pay for an alignment after. I also need to replace my clutch, clutch slave, and I figured I'd do the rear main while I was in there. You guys think I can slide the oil pan back if I get the trans off (and the sway bar)?

Her is how I did it, put the truck on stands, then remove the square bar that is below the pan, then remove the two nuts that hold the steering linkage to the truck(at the steering box and the other side) and then just let the whole linkage droop. I don't think doing this will mess up the alignment.

Warning, don't bend the pan when removing it, and don't use the gasket from the auto parts store, go to Toyota and get their FIPG (Form in place gasket maker)

Thanks for that. I went out and looked at another 22r I have and I think I can pull it out backwards as long as it will drop down far enough to clear the oil pickup tube.
