Does anyone have any experiance making brackets for these to mount in our 1st gens? I would like to make it where you can still slide the seat forward and backwards but it doesnt have to be done that way. Thanks for any input.

I used generic brackets in my '81, used 2" square tube for the front Mnts and 1" in the rear.. Basically cut out the stock floor mount that ran from the tunnel across the floor pan.
I will be redoing it in the near future.

Not a bad idea. The P/O had two random seats that didnt have sliders on them. Hell the rails on the passenger side lined up but i guess they couldnt find any bolts so the welded it. I grinded it loose the other day and put bolts in. Ill let you know what I come up with just so you have another idea when you do yours.

My plan is to pick up a couple of sticks of tubing and have a local guy with a bender help me to build something like the following, sort of integrated with my internal cage:
(borrowed these pics from MT-Toy's rebuild thread on pirate, he and Mr. Stubs have done some kick butt innovative work on their trucks
)
same generic mounts I used:

I have the advantage of no rear cab wall to get in the way

I really like how they have integrated the internal roll cage with the floors and seats. Why didnt they run the side supports from cab mount to cab mount just out of curiosity? (thinking out loud)
Are you going to support the entire inside of your trekker?
I havent decided if i want to go exo or internal yet. I am probably just gonna make some 1.5 " risers then either just mount to that for now or try and locate the brackets on ebay or something.
