Just rewired the fusible links off the battery, and notice that now the charge light doesn't doesn't seem to turn on. Can anyone confirm the bulb should be lit when turning the key on, but before starting (bulb check)? Yes, I checked the bulb (and swapped with the oil light, which does turn on).

Sorry - new truck to me, can't recall if it came on before with the bulb check. I think it did. I've seen it illuminate at some point since I bought it.

 

Yes it should come on anytime the key is on and the engine is not running.
