Question on light bars and brush/bumper guards

Where can I get these? Looking for brush guard or a universal bar to mount lights on for the front bumper. Also looking for a universal bar for the roof. Thanks. 81 pickup

i suggest you get your front bumper custom made...or go with one of those smittybuilt style tube front bumpers...as for a rollbar...im not sure what kinds...but almost all of the 1st gens i've seen in person...have the exact same roll bar in it...but none have a name...maybe someone with more knowledge will chime...o well...just thought i would say somethin..lol

Not sure where you are located but here is a link to a smittybuilt bumper, not sure if it would fit on a first gen though.

light bar like this? I got this on e-bay looking up pre runner lightbar cost 125 to my door , I did cut a couple of the tabs off (the 2 outside lights) and repostion them to fit my bumper and blinkers better. As for the bumper I bulit it myself out of 1/4 cold rolled steel.

Try craigslist.org you can generally find things on there cheap.
Look for a Thule or Yakima gutter mount rack bar. The Thule would be better since it is rectangular. I picked up a complete rack system recently for $45
Bought my '81 Trekker, a couple of transfercases and my '89 Tercel...

have cash, be on time, don't be a jerk and you can usually walk away with a great deal

marlincrawler.com has a front bumper. a little spendy but its well built. and trail-gear.com has a awsome winch mount that is held on rock solid that you can fab your own tubes off of. or go with a costom built. they will fit the best. you cant beat costom.

good luck getting a ship date on a 1st Gen bumper from Marlin, I got my rear bumper in 3 days. They could/would not ever give me a time frame for a front bumper. I did end up going with the trail gear winch plate. It welded on perfectly. Just need to finish the rest of the bumper
