part time 20R

ok so heres the deal the 22r in my truck is starting to go out (head gasket) so ive been looking around for another engine and my dad found a guy that has a fully re-built 20r with weber, new clutch ect. for $500 bucks so i was thinking about using that while i rebuild my 22r. i just wanted to know is the 20r a direct bolt in on the 20r, and would you buy that 20r for $500

The 20R should be a direct bolt in. $500 seems good to me if it was rebuilt well.

Sucks not having a back-up vehicle, huh?

The 20r is a direct swap. No need to change a thing.
If I were you, I would rebuild the 22r block, then put the 20r head on there. Since it already has a weber carb, you are good to go. Enjoy the hybrid torque monster you just built that loves to Rev.

only thing you'll have to do is re-route a couple of the water hoses ..

20R Carb choke is coolant operated .. 22r is electric ..

He has a weber carb on the 20r. It could be water choke or electric.
