Exclamation New guy with fuel pump questions

Hey guys, I'm new to the board and just bought 2 pickups(see sig) one has factory ac and I can't for the life of me find the fuel pump? theres nothing along the frame and only one wire going into the tank...The ac compressor takes place of the standard mechanical one so what gives?

Thanks for any help

My 82 Trekker has A/C and a mech fuel pump in the normal place right on the front pass side of the block. A/C comp is mounted down below it. Don't know why yours would be any different...

The early 20R motors have an electric fuel pump, I don't remember if its in the engine bay or by the tank

Wow thanks for the fast responses. I wont be able to get pic till next weekend but my a/c is mounted high on the passengerside, like right where the mech pump should be. I followed the line from the carb and it ges into a filter and then hard line to the tank. Carquest looked up a pump for it and showed me a picture of an intank setup. it listed for $100! Just hoping to find a cheap way to get this one running without replacing the intank pump. Can i run a sending unit with just a pickup and then mount a $35 inline pump along the frame to get me going again? Thanks again for all the help

Those trucks do have an in tank pump.

if you run an inline pump, you need to remove the electric pump from the tank first.
