Need a vacuum diagram! also mystery hose
I have gotten done scouring the internet and buying USELESS service manuals, and nothing. 77 toyota pickup longbed 20r motor. CA.
pretty sure when i got done changing the headgasket out some of the lines got bumped loose (and ones missing me thinks) no idea how it goes together again. also have a HUGE line (3/4 inch) coming out the back of the intake manifold no idea where that goes.

For one, relax - you're working on a 37 year old truck, nothing is going to be readily available. If you can't accept this then trying to work on an old vehicle is simply not for you.
Two, TAKE PICTURES! I always take pictures before, during and after I take something apart so that I have a reference of how things go back together in the event that it is some time until I put it back together. I have taken well over 1,000 pictures throughout the restoration of my truck for both reference and documentation. There have been several instances where I relied on my pictures to get things reassembled properly.
Three, post pictures. If you posted a picture of this "mystery hose" then somebody on here could likely tell you where is goes. I could likely confirm that if it is a 5/8 vacuum hose coming off your intake then it likely goes to your brake booster
Four, you must not have searched or "scoured" too hard because I did a quick "20R vacuum diagram" search on Google, and came back with all of these:

Get your panties out of a wad because your attitude and approach to your issues isn't going to help you much at all.
