Need help. Simple body or possibly suspension lift for a 1977 2wd
Hi Y’all, proud owner of a 1977 toyota pickup with flatbed. It’s going to be my farm truck. It has the stock 14 inch wheels on it 195/75r14. I live in the woods and need a little more clearance. So I need to raise the truck up. The rear is a no brainer for me with either different leaf springs or blocks. But how do I lift the front? I just wanna run some 15 x 8 wheels with 31x10.5x15 with some off-road tires. Maybe even just 30 x 9.5 x 15. But I would have to lift the darn thing quite a bit to achieve that. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m not trying to make it look like a four-wheel-drive or needing a four-wheel-drive. I already have three of those. I just picked up this pickup for a song and I really like it and I want it usable out on our farm. And I think a little lift with some more aggressive wheels and tires Would help a lot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help offered. And I need this to be low budget. so I don’t care if it’s Part body lift if I have to have spacers made I just am not sure what to do with the front. it’s independent front suspension and I’m just not quite sure how to lift it reasonably cheap. Or at all really. I don’t see torsion bars to adjust. I’ve thought of ball joint spacers and a body lift, or? Thanks in advance.

I lifted the body off the frame to get tire clearance. You can lift 2 inch max on my 1980 sr5 2x4 without a lot of modifications. You're going to have to setup a new carb linkage and radiator mounts and extend the fuel fill hose urethane I used 2in square tubing between the body and frame. I think there are four points on the cab, one on front clip and maybe 6-8 points on the bed. BTW the steering shaft will extend to accommodate the 2 inches of lift but that's the maximum. All this assumes your rig is set up like my 1980. Good luck
