Alright guys, heres one for you

Last night, driving home I notice my interior lights are dim and the headlights are dim to boot. I turn off all accessories except lights and made it home fine, just the headlights were getting really dim. Wouldn't even crank.

This morning, however, it cranks fine and starts right up. Let it run 5-10 minutes and I notice again the dome is dim. Won't even crank again.

Let it sit and it fires up fine. Shut down, no go. This time it didn't come back. Got the battery on charge, but I'm leaning towards alternator. Any help?

PS the charge lamp does not work

Put a chevy alt in mine after making a custom bracket for the passenger side for mounting. In and out in 15min. Plus cheap to rebuild, and dime a dozen at the wreckers.

Sked, yep sure was, then I realized my hose was wore out so I needed a new one. I threw it on last night and it wasn't leaking then, so I'll check it again today.

drove the truck today and discovered that the alternator must have been on the downhill side of its life for a while, the lights are so much brighter now its amazing, and the interior lighting no longer dims when switching from parking lights to headlights.
