I am new to this forum and looking for help. I am getting ready to mount an IFS steering box from a 1988 truck into my 1983 does have any info pics or a good link to help in how to properly locate the box on the frame. I do have a Trail-gear mount kit the instructions on the net are veg to say the least.

 

Go to the customer service area on TG's forum. Geiger himself will most likely answer your post. They are really good about helping people out on there in a timely manner. Also goto the Pickup and 4-Runner section on Pirate and look for the FAQ sticky at the top of the page. There is tons of info under Power Steering Boxes mounting. For the love of god don't post this question on their forum though they'll tear you apart.

I got some pics of my box on my website under "Projects" on the 85 and then under "steering".

You want it as far forward as you can get it and tilted upwards slightly.
