Ignitor igniter 1983 toyo truck 22R base
Hello Fellows,
I am confuse the dealer manufacturer is 89620 35112 but existing I have a coil bottom and a bracket holding the igniter or ignitor # 19070 35040 is this number
have something to do with the rest of the trucks or are they interchangeable? I have change both of them when the module stop functioning. and have work for a 2 or 3 years them again
I have to go and buy a used set. I have trouble by getting this part and I am wondering the best result will be. The last one I bought is still working but my mind tells me -If this baby breaks down I better start collecting them which is a hard piece to get by. Any help is appreciated Tks Mr. D

The part numbers you list are Toyota Part numbers. 89620 35112 is the Igniter, 19070 35040 is the Ignition Coil. As far as I know, Toyota no longer makes the OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, so you would have to get Aftermarket parts. I recommend Standard Motor Parts (see below).
The thing that usually breaks the Igniter (Ignition Control Module) is a bad/failing/out of specification ignition coil. When the coil goes bad it has high resistance, which will burn out the switiching transistors in the Igniter. Make sure your coil is good by testing, or replace it with a good quality coil as prevention. I found 2 that fit your truck:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...tion+coil,7060
Both are very good quality. Buying a cheaper coil is not a good idea. I did that & the cheap coil killed 2 Igniters (expensive!)
The Igniter for your truck is still available new:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ule+(icm),7172
Hope this helps you.
