How to replace a muffler without the hooks?

My 1982 pickup needs a new muffler, the old one is good and rusty. However I had no luck finding one with the factory hooks installed, the closest I could get is the one attached to this post.

Would anyone know what sort of muffler strap I can use with this unit? Has anyone replaced their muffler with this and if so, how did you do it?

Just took mine off yesterday. The one in the pic is like the one I have. Bought it at Autozone I believe.
There is a hanger that bolts up directly to that muffler.
If you don't have the hanger, maybe Ebay?
I'm redoing my whole exhaust system, but I'm not sure if I'll be using mine still.

Thanks for the info. Does the hanger/bracket in question look like this, by chance? I've had a devil of a time finding one, and this appears to be the closest I could find-- it's listed on the Walker website as being compatible with 1984-1993 toyota trucks, but should be ok for 1982 models as well, I hope?

Yeah that's not it.
Here is what I took off mine in the first pic. It bolts to rear of muffler.
Second pic is the hanger that bolts to rear of cat.
Third is my old muffler.

We'll find out; I ordered it for $15. The one you have, I don't suppose you know a part # for it at Autozone, or it's been too long to recall?
