is it high in the back or low in the front

So I'm not wanting to do a lift on this truck. I drive quite a bit so I'll be staying on 235/75 15s. As you can see from this pic she isn't sitting level. Name: IMAG0092_zpsmj5gomir.jpg

Somebody looked at my rear springs just now and said the spring keeper "box" thing didn't look stock. Name: IMAG0093_zpsnpzvmycj.jpg

And then here's a pic (best I could seem to get) of the front springs. (Hoping somebody csnn tell me how fatigued they look)[URL=http://s1244.photobucket.com/user/glamb1/media/IMAG0095_zpskm0s9txj.jpg.html]Name: IMAG0095_zpskm0s9txj.jpg

Any feedback of where I'm at and my best course of action is very appreciated..

looks like longer shackles in the back and the front springs need to be replaced.

i did a rough country 3" lift on my 79 when i had it.
gave it more front wheel travel and a smoother ride.

i know you don't want to lift but it might be harder to find stock springs than a small lift kit. my truck rode and handled way better with the new springs.
looks like new front springs would level the front to the rear height.

i would put 3" lift front springs on and ride.

If 3" made it somewhat level I'd prob be okay with that. Better ride huh. Man if I put the front of his thing into any kinda obsticle with any little bit of speed it makes me feel like I'm gonna be peeing blood for days.

Smooth ride and Rough Country should never be used in the same sentence...ever! I and a couple people I know have had Rough Country springs and they lived up to their name.... ROUGH! I've never driven on worse springs in my life - they beat me all to hell.

Your truck does look low in the front and those springs look pretty shot. I would highly recommend Old Man Emu springs. They provide a 2" lift and are hands down the absolute best riding aftermarket stock length springs you can buy for these truck - nobody can deny that. They are fairly ecomical too. Search around a bit and you can usually find them for under $125 per spring. I built my entire suspension with OME springs, Bilstein shocks, new bushings and Trail Gear shackles for under $900 (including shipping). Scope out the first page of my build thread to find the vendors that I bought all my parts from - they were the cheapest source at the time of purchase.

The front springs should be arched similar to the rear springs. I have seen front springs that are so worn that they were an inverted arch. As others have mentioned you are going to need to replace the front springs. I cant really tell the conditions of the rear springs but it doesnt look quite right to me.

From the info I've gathered when your truck came out the factory it barely had an arch in the fron springs if any, they were pretty much flat. Yours look to be arching a bit backwards which shows it it worn.

I have an old rough courty kit in the front pro comp shocks, My front leafs are a bit softer than new from all the years of being flexed, but it is still one hell of a stiff ride. Personally I like it but forget comfort for long drives that's for sure.

And your rear shackles don't look stock.

i'm not saying RC springs are good just compared to the worn out springs that i had on my truck, that looked as bad as the ones in the pics, they were a huge improvement.

glad you guys added better advice on spring brands.
