this truck in the pictures was basically a stock truck, minus the smog equipment. I did right before these pics add the 1988 rearend and the 38" swampers plus I pulled some leafs from the rear pack and went a little crazy with the sawzall to make the tires fit with zero lift....as of now I am adding chevy rears, ruf, 5.29's, I just picked up my crossover steering from sky and some new 36" swampers I don't want to put anymore than 2 or 3 inches of lift....oh yes I forgot I am just getting ready to install a flat bed on it hopefully this week on my days off. I am super pumped on this truck and wish I could afford to do it all at once but it will be worth the wait

those are really the only side shots I have, if you are wondering about the firewall rubbing, yes it rubbed until I bought a huge hammer I am going to be moving my firewall back about 3" so I will take pics of that process and post them also...

Found this today while hunting for parts for my truck. The date from the door jam said Sept 1973. It had Hilux emblems and a 18R-C motor. The guy said he would let it go for $400.

My 1980 Yota
Lots of nice trucks here! check this one out, it's my 80 with the original 20r, added header, weber, canon intake, under drive pulley set, heavy duty clutch with 35lb flywheel, lockouts by Homeless. Yes, those are 35" bfg's 'hiding' under her. I've owned the truck for 6 or 7 years, the odometer is broken so I have no idea on the miles - really doesn't matter anyway.

Looks great, did you paint it yourself?

SCToy - the paint looks much better in the picture than in person. A previous owner painted it and I don't think he did any prep work. I touch it up frequently with rattle cans and it has held up incredibly well through the ill-annoy winter road slime.
ocdropzone- thanks for fixing the link for me. The rims are 'rebel racing' They are nice looking but they do wobble a little past 220 mph. Love the avatar, I wish I could jump again but I can't risk breaking another ankle...
