have a few questions about my '82

hey new member here. i am getting ready to install gears and lockers in my 82 model now. These may be silly questions but here it goes...

1. when ordering the gears, what size is my front and rear end, 8 inch? I dont want to order the wrong parts for sure.

2. does Powertrax make a locker for both the front and rear end of the '82 model? if so what is the average price for the Lock Right? Would love detriots but cant afford them!

3. If i do go with the lock right, when installed, does the locker take place of the whole spider gear assembly, or does it go inside the "housing" that surrounds the spider gears? Reason for asking is my pinion nut backed off one day and the pinion chewed up that housing pretty good. It still works and all but has some knarly teeth marks in it. I hope that makes sense not sure of the correct terms.

I guess thats about it for now. Sorry for the crazy questions, i just want everything to be right when its all done with. Great board by the way lots of info here. thanks.

Hello,

1)Your front end as well as your rear end, is an 8" or 200mm.
2) Yes, powertrax does make a locker for front and rear..they are the same.
3) The lockright does not replace the carrier, just the spider gears.

Good call asking the questions, hope this helps,

Jon
