GM 3 wire Alternator wiring

Hello, I'm looking to install the GM 3 wire onto my 82 pickup
https://lowrangeoffroad.com/gm-3-wir...acket-kit.html

I have a 5 wire Voltage regulator.
3 wire to factory alternator
Yellow, Green , White with black stripe. ( green round connecter)
And then a single white wire coming from the alternator.

Any good info on wiring?

Thank you

This should do it. One large red wire from a battery hot, (you can use the battery hot that goes to your original alternator). #2 on the new alternator jumps to the battery hot, and the white wire, #1 isn't needed. You don't need to cut your original wiring harness.

Thanks for the help. I belive the charge light is the yellow wire on a 82 pickup.
I used 6 gauge with a circuit breaker for my power wire.
