Hello, I am in the process of getting a 1983 4x4 pick-up running and on the road again after sitting for four years. I'm tackling the issues one at a time as they come up, and one thing I noticed today is the previous owner had cut the rod for the brake proportioning valve and tied it in the full up position. Needless to say when I untied it to check the valve the piston is stuck in the up position. Anyone know where I might be able to locate one? Thanks, Paul.

 

instead of replacing the old one how about going to summit on line and buying an adjustable one, more then likely if u want to replace it with an original one then u might be able to replace it with more then just an 83. but an 82 to 85 might work. or even a later one from an mid 80s truck. just some ideas,
