Engine Problem

I was doing a little 4 wheeling when my truck quit (79 pickup 22r). It started to run like it was running out of gas so I check my fuel lines, fuel, level, and pump. I replace the filter and the pump because the pump would let the gas run back to the tank. After installing the truck ran worst. So I check the timing and distributor. The vacuum advance was rusted up so bought a new distributor. After installing, the truck would not run at all. I even did a compression check which was not bad (1. 130 2. 130 3. 124 4.145) I was wonder if anybody had any suggestions.
