Electrical issues( headlights)

So 82 sr5 4wd attached is pic of truck and motor. So all rear lights work. Running lights work but when vehicle is running if hit brakes they come on as well. Blinkers work but hazard button does not. And both front headlights have no power.

Think looking for a bad ground but where in system is the ground for headlights located the fuses have power and fuses are new. Or would hazard switch in column interrupt headlights ? Just installed new weber so no emissions so had to jump one wire off the ac switch harness to get ac to refunction but headlights were not working prior to this or after did work before motor was pulled and replaced but vehicle also did sit for 6months so wire could be broken somewhere but unsure where under dash to begin.

Do these possibly need power or grounded

Or these 2 do they need power or ground to relay to headlights?

This connertor is not needed anymore ?

fuse link right off the positive battery terminal supplies power . there are 2 fuse links a single and a double , I think I see the connector in the first pic , but I cant be sure .

The ground for the light/hazard switch is up above and left of the steering column. I would start at the front and check power on the output side of the fuse link off the battery. Feel of the fuse links for any bubbling, which indicates the link is bad, Off the link, possibly a Red/Blue wire, goes to the headlight relay. The Relays are above and right of the steering column. Run a continuity check, then power check between the fuse link and the headlight fuse, If no power then it possibly a bad relay. The next place to look would be the headlight switch on the column. Well, that's start and let us know how you make out

If you don’t have one already, I would download the FSM. It has good test procedures for the combo switch to the connector under the column. I took mine apart and cleaned, then did continuity check on all the switches while on tabletop.
