Dual mikuni sidedrafts, are they worth it?
#2
in my experiance .... not for a 4WD . they "work" at a higher RPM with no low grunt for offroading . much better used on a 2WD PU or Celica ...
I had some on my hibred 20/22r way back when . they didnt stay on long .

The Mikunis are like Weber DCOE series carbs and work fine either on 2 wheel drive or 4x4 trucks as long as you know how to set them up. I ran Mikunis in my 4x4 (18RG race motor) and now run Weber DCOE series on my 22R race motor in my 4x4. I drive my truck to shows or just cruise and I get about 21 miles / gallon on the highway. I run 4:88 gears, 31" or 33" tires and my highway rpm is about 2900-3000 at 65mph. They are touchy to setup but when their set right you can really blowoff the fuel injection crowd.
