Dash covers/caps

Hello,

I have a 1980 with a dash that is worn and cracked. I've looked for a used replacement but with very little success. I see that there are plastic and vinyl dash covers. Has anyone used any of these and/or could recommend on over the other. Thanks!

Yes...those are the covers I'm talking about. Can anyone comment on the quality?

I used another brand on ky 82 truck and it fit great and was not real hard to install. Go for it.

I just repaired mine. Used seam sealer to fill the cracks - you can find this t autozone, or napa, normally used to seal quarter panels or trunks, then repainted the dash with SEM interior dye available at any automotive paint store (they can actually match your interior color, doesn't crack, fade, scratch or flake off like normal paint). Everybody who has seen the finished product could not believe how nice it looked. Total cost $7.50 for the seam sealer (I had some laying around) and $11.00 for the can of interior die.
