Crankshaft resistance -- 22R

I am rebuilding my The motor (2.4L 22R) from my '82 2wd single cab Pickup. My head gasket ruptured, and it seemed most other seals and gaskets had too. So here we are now, the head back from the machine shop, all parts cleaned and scraped, the works. I'm currently reassembling the block and that's where my question comes in- I do not know what kind of resistance to expect when I turn the crankshaft. All pistons went in well, just a hair more resistance than the ones that came out (bought new set). The rods are in the same sequence as when they came out, but main bearings and rod bearings have both been replaced. The crank can be turned, with a little leverage (about 12 inches), by one person- but it is very hard. Should that be expected? This is my first rebuild, the most of my motor experience is with VW boxer engines. Needless to say, turning the crank on my 1.7L pancake is much easier. Thanks, all feedback is much appreciated.

Now that depends on how big you are, are we talking little girl arms or I go to the gym everyday BEEF NECK kind of arms??

on all the 22r's I have done there is not much, I have been able to turn them with a 1/2 drive and a 19mm socket. If it's that hard turn the motor upside down and loosen the main caps one at a time tell you find the one causing the issue...also did you plasiguage the bearings??
