Cab swapping questions! Help please.

Hello,
I am planning to restore a truck for my dad. He have a 1980 toyota pickup with a custom extend cab, long bed, 2wd, 5speed. His cab is destroyed by rust and everything is falling apart.
Does anyone what other years single cab will be able to fit onto his chassis??
Thanks for your help. greatly appreciate it!

Please dont be rude. i've google my question and nothing popped up.

79-83 will interchange just fine. I don't understand the custom extended cab though. If you extend the cab that is a whole different game.

Can you post pictures? Maybe it is a rare extra cab, and nothing else but an extra cab will bolt with minor fitting. If it is an extra cab it might be worth saving the body you have there since it is super rare.

just for reference .. 2WD and 4WD cabs are a wee bit different . front mounts wont match up so you would need to modify if this is the way you go

Something like this but for 79-83, this one is an 85. I have seen one in my life, the frame is much longer.

have you thought of hemp compounds though which is a lot more shock resistant than fiberglass ;-D
