brake master cylinder question???

I found a brake fluid leak right where the master cylinder meets the brake booster. I lose brake fluid for the rear only. Is there a gasket that has gone bad or is it time I replace the master cylinder? Just want to make sure I can't save it with a cheap fix. While braking I loose a little pressure but if i do one pump the pressure is back up, but sometimes hard as a rock. thanks for any input, Mack

No, there's no gasket between the 2. If you're getting fluid out the back your MC is bad.
