blows cold on vent

As stated my heater will blow only cold air on vent it works great on heat and def. Is it suppose to blow cold on vent seeing as it has a heat lable on the controls? I have a new heatercore and I might have got the cables out of wack when putting it all back together...Also all the foam crap on the flapps just rubbed off and turned to dust. could that be a problem?

I actually drove my truck today so I'll try to remember to test it. I have never used the vent setting when I want heat, only the defrost or the heater position. I use the vent when it's hot out, as I don't have A.C.

unless you have A/C .. it will only "blow" outside ambient air temps , including "truck temps" on FRESH .. reserculate , will only blow inside cabin air temps

And as far as the foam mine did the same you can get away with thin weatherstripping from your local hardware store and replace but it doesn't have anything to do with your problem.

And slacker I see you changed your pic and its not any better than the old one

Yeah, I checked mine on the way home yesterday, and it just blew cool air. I was parked in the sun, so it was definitely cooler than the inside air temp until it equalized.
