Best Seat covers under $150 for an 82?

I noticed a 2" or so rip in the lumbar part of my driver's seat, with a smaller 3/4" or so one below it. I probably shouldn't have tried, but an attempt to stitch it up just made it tear worse because the fabric is pretty old and brittle. So I'm thinking of just making a patch with Tear Aid tape, and getting some seat covers. I looked at some Rixxu Super Sport covers at CARiD that are universal fit for $115, but are said to have a good strap cinching design that make them adapt well to many shapes of seats.

Has anyone here used seat covers over their 82 Toyota Pickup seats? If so, what brand did you use, how well did they hold up, and what brand do you recommend if anything else? I'd especially like to know if anyone can comment on the fit of the Rixxu Super Sports for an 82 Toyota Pickup, and whether the leatherette material on the edges held up well without cracking? I'd like to get several years of use out of these, and I drive very little, just a 15 mile trip a few times a month or so for groceries.

CARiD seem to have very good customer service, I spoke to a gal named Laurin that said if I took a pic of my seats with my phone and emailed it to her, she could get a better idea if these covers would fit well.

Thanks in advance for any and all replies. I think my textile repair days are done, I used to be so good at it, anymore, I'm ham fisted!
