22rblock 20r head questions

i have a 78 20r longblock that has a toast bottom end. it has a weber 32/36 and a big cam. dont know specs.
i also have a 82 22r longblock.
this is going in a slammed daily driver 78 shorty. i want high rpm power its got a built celica 5sp tranny in it with all trd internals. and 4:10 gears.

im not much of a toyota motor guy but i can hold my own.
anyway what are my options here. and what should i do to get high compression out of this thing. at least 10:1. and i want it to be rev happy im not worried about gas mileage i just like to drive fast.
the shortblock is going to the machine shop for tank and everything checked out and rebuilt. i can port and polish the head and intake and seat the valves and all that jazz. i just dont know what the good combos are for these motors.

help a bro out

i know the 20r will rev better but the block was punched out beyond its limits so i cant rebore it at all!!

I run an LC Engineering Stage 5 Pro Stroker Motor. It has a 20R head. The 20R head breathes better then the 22R heads that are available. Call John in tech at LC Engineering, he can give the best advice.

For good speed on the cheap, go for porting out the head, adding an exhaust manifold with better flow, etc. Lapping the valves and valve seats costs as little as 20$ if you do it yourself, or you could get oversize valves put in. Check into a lightweight flywheel for faster acceleration. Perhaps get the hotspots in the 20R head removed so to reduce any detonation problems and slap it on that 22R block. Some oversize pistons could help you out too. A stroker kit gets you more power but also reduces your max RPMs.
