I can’t for the life of me get my leaky rear output seal out, anyone have tips for doing it without the factory tool? Thanks in advance

 

I ended up doing some questionable fabrication and turning a pitman puller into a seal puller by grinding out some new arms for it. but....

My truck has only the modern seal, no felt dust cover or retainer ring. Does anyone know if its ok to put a seal in without those things?

 

Might not last as long without the dust protector/felt, but should be OK for a long time.

You should be able to source the missing parts from Toyota if you wish.
