I need a new camshaft for my 82 pickup, and I found one on ebay way cheap but it is from an 84 pickup. Heres the link:

Does your 82 have a 20r or 22r? Cam is for a 22r, however 22r and 20r cams are interchangeable, but have a slightly different lift/duration profile.
Not sure of side effects of running a 22r cam in a 20r engine though, but some cam manufactures advertise their cams for both 20r and 22r while some others do not.

 

It has the 22r.

 

They finally got back tome, and they said that the camshaft will fit all 22r engines from 81-95 and it will fit 20r engines from 75 to 80. You are right Xxxtreme, i guess they are interchangeable between the motors? haha, who knows...
