im really skeptical on what i want to do with my sunroof i dont even know if its stock it has 2 seperate wings and a light running down the center the drivers side window latch is busted and beyond glueing i was thinking of cutting off the roof of a pickup without the sunroof or just removing the window and welding it closed with some sheet metal i need some help!

 

Well if its stock you could probably take one out of a Parts truck or something and replace it.. They are nice when they function properly(no leaks, no rattles, latches work).

 

it's not stock .. no light on a stock unit .

you might try cleaning up the weatherstrips .. I did mine on my aftermarket sunroof , and it stopped all leaks .

 

Sounds like you have got the same AM sunroof as i have in my '81. A previous owner did a decent job of using silicone to seal up the passenger side.
