Hey y’all. I did a round headlight conversion on my 83 pickup. I plan on ordering a cheap 79-81 grill on eBay. It doesn’t come with the grill badge, does anyone know if the badge from my 83 grill with fit? I ask because I’m debating buying one vs waiting till it shows up at pick n pull someday

 

No it wont fit. You might have to figure out how to fit in if you want to use that emblem. This is what the 78 emblem looks like and it goes in the middle of the grill. On this page it displays the grill with out the emblem in the middle and you can see there is a whole/place for it, also the grill meets at the point. You can do what ever you like its your truck, just want to give some information before you spend the money.

It definitely won't fit. The 82-83 badge is physically too large. Better off cleaning it up, selling it on ebay and buying a used badge of the proper type. All 79-81 2wd and 4wd are the same part.
