'83 Alternator wiring hack
I am looking for some clarification on an alternator that looks like it has been swapped out and possibly upgraded in my '83 RWD motorhome. Here is a link to my post on the motorhome site with photos. Aside from fixing up the awful butt connectors I want to make sure that this swap was done correctly. Photos are posted at the link below.
Huge Thanks!!

Hopefully someone here can help...
Based on what I have read I think this was done correctly...
L: Green to white through connector to yellow in harness
IG: Yellow to yellow through connector to red in harness
S: Black to red through connector to white in harness
Stud: Heavy gauge tan wire through harness to battery
Trying to determine if I should I replace the stock heavy gauge wire to the battery with something larger.
Does anyone know the amps of this replaced alternator based on the photos?
