I recently acquired a cream puff '82. Previous owner removed the sr5 stripes but the ghost shadow from the stripes is still visible. The side stripes were the ones that were over the frt/rear wheels and extend rearward. But, the hood stripes seem different compared with the traditional sr5 scheme that had stripes down the driver side edge of the hood. Rather, this truck has two stripes (each apx. one inch wide) that start at the top corners, run across the top of the hood (near cowl) and than down the center, on either side of the raised center section, to the front (near grill/hood latch). The stripes are on both the passenger and driver sides of the hood. Does anyone have a pic of a similar configuration? I'm restoring the truck so any info you could provide would be very much appreciated. Not sure if it's the original hood so thought I'd check to see if anyone has info about whether 82 Sr5's might have come with this type of hood stripe.

Pictures would be great. I have seen so many stripe patterns and was told at toyota that you could order a few different kinds back in the day when these trucks where new.

I think it is possible you have a hood from another truck I have seen several with that stripe on RV's but the strip would go over the fenders then streak down the side of the rv.

for five years and they're still in good condition. There are 3 color combinations and usually the stripes match the interior of the truck..good luck
