we have started stripping the doors down the bare metal

started to get a couple body lines back in the cowl area

the roof is now primed and being blocked for reprime

started with a skim coat of glaze/filler

fan shroud is primed and ready for color

then started some misc parts ...cleaning sand blasting priming and almost ready for paint. very few pieces left before cowl to grill is done with work and needs reassembled.

radiator half way in color

progress has slowed but will pick back up some more supplies are coming tomorrow so we can get back on the long block and get the roof done and some color shot on it. We will then finish the cowl and door jam so that we can prime and shoot color on them also. Long process and time consuming but doing it right means not being done quickly. Next pics hope to have some color in them and more primer too .

This is a cool project! The only thing that scares me is why is the dude spraying clear without a respirator? Yikes!

well some people spray better when they are relaxed. He says its for the picture he didn't want to look dumb with a suit and respirator on. Why start after 31 yrs of it hell with it. Reprimed the roof today and going back to the block. started cleaning up some more for the front end.

very nice...couple of questions though. are you going to reinstall the windshield and back glass yourself? i need to take out my windshield to tackle some rust issues, and have a sliding back glass to swap in, but I don't want to pay someone to come out to my house to reinstall the glass (can't really drive somewhere with no windshield)

yes we are going to put them back in ourselves. I will ask my father in-law exactly how he plans on going about it.. I would say just start at a corner and walk it in and use some plastic shims or something like to help align ur seal aorund it. When we took them out itwas a matter of 10 minutes and we were done just used couple shims and wedged it out. but i iwll get a more professional answer soon for you.

okay i have had some issues with cameras disappearing thought it was my 2 year old turns out its me. i do have some new pictures though

misc pics

door jamb being etch primed and primed, ready for color that pic was lost.

cowl panel done and ready for wet sand and color shot.

one of the doors i put a couple precautionary patches on .. be easy this is my first attempt at doing them its usualy the father in law doing them.

and then the dash is tore down and being prepped for primer and some color.

i know its taking us forever it seems like it seems that way to all of us but when we are done i hope it is worthy of local show events.

also have all but valve cover shot in color and will have it soon so an overall of the hood compartment should come soon.

LOL! Yeah, whats ones health worth? Apparently not much! I've seen a few people die from brain/lung cancer after working around all these solvents for years without any protection. Definately no good.
