2WD Bellhousing support brackets?

2WD Bellhousing support brackets?
Hey everyone,
So recently when doing the clutch on my 1979 2wd truck (20R paired to a W50) I noticed that there were some empty holes in the bellhousing where on the 4wd models the bellhousing support brackets go. I am just wondering if the 2wd trucks used them or not.
