pre 1980 20R 4spd to 83 22R, will it bolt up? or did i just r&r an exedy stage 2 carbon clutch in my 4 spd for nothing..lol

 

They all bolt up. L43 4spd and L52 5spd interchange and you can even put in the W56 transmission with driveshaft work.

 

homeboy whos hooking me up with the 22R, has a 5spd on it right now..will it fit between my stock driveshafts and mounts that are for the L43 4spd?

 

pre-84 transmissions will all interchange, if the cab is a 79 or 80 you will have to trim floor for the shifters, but x-member, bellhousing and driveshafts are the same. the later transmissions (g52, 84-85 or w56, 86-88) are about 6 inches longer

noticed that my cab must have had a 5 spd in it before, cause when i put my 4 spd in the shifters jammed up, so i allready trimmed it.
figured that the 5 spd is a top-loader, and the L43 4 goes into the side..is that about right??
