1981 engine swap question.

I drive a 1981 22r, 4 speed manual, long bed yota pikcup! I was offered a free Lexus ES250 engine and was curious to know if it is at all possible to drop that v6 in my pickup? Originally it was used in a front wheel drive car, so i doubt it... but is it possible? I would have to make it so that it is compatibably with my transfercase and so on... but how? I know I need all the accessories, the wiring harness, the computer... but what else? Ever heard of anyone doing this before?

The ES250 engine is not a good choice for engine swaps.

Its a transverse mount engine first off, so the intake will stick way up through the hood then its bolted upright. You will have to fab exhaust manifolds, mounts, a bellhousing, etc etc. And to top it all off, the lexus es250 engine is a JUNK engine. Its only a 2.5L, very low power, and it has head gasket and valve stem issues. I have never come across a 2.5L 2VZ that did NOT smoke.
