i bought a non running 1980 truck and i had to buy a new intake manifold. i know the motor is still the factory 20r but my motor has the egr valve and it mounts on my old intake but my new intake doesnt have the mount for it. the guy i bought the intake from said it was off a 79 20r....emissions isnt a problem so im curious if i can just remove the valve from the motor and just plug the hole...anyone know?

 

just make a block off plate and remove it.
