I have a 1980 20r, with an electric fuel pump, there isnt even a place on the block for a mechanical one. It appears to be a universal fuel pump and is located under the hood fastened to the frame. It may be factory...not sure. Any way, it has a regulator between it and the carb. but has no gauge just numbers like a clock and there isnt much way to adjust it, it constantly needs a different setting. I have been thinking about getting a new regulator with a gauge. Does anyone know what the factory fuel pressure should be to the carb. on a 20r???

 

the trucks had a mechanical pump on the head .. if not , I would say the head somewhere along the line was replaced with a car head . little trivia .

fuel pressure is a min 4lbs - 9lbs .. so pretty much any electric pump will work .
