FS/FT, 1981 Toy 4x4, stock, CLEAN, New England
SOLD
I have a very clean 1981 short bed 4x4 toyota pickup. It has the legendary 22r, it runs well (I think it needs a carb cleaning/maybe a tune). It has lots of new engine parts such as oil pump gasket, headgasket, alternator, timing cover gasket, new timing gear, timing chain, guides, and tensioner. I also made sure the valves were in spec when I was in there. 5 speed manual, clutch feels great, doesn't slip, and t-case shifts flawlessly. The truck has 126,xxx miles and since it has a 5 digit odometer it reads 26,xxx and the interior honestly looks like it has 26k. I am the 2nd owner of the truck and the original owner took very good care of it.
Being a truck that spent its life in NY, it does have some rust. The frame is solid, only some surface rust, nothing that would compromise its strength. The body has some rust, the cab appears to be rust free, there is some rust on the fenders and bed which can be seen in the pics.
It also has the original AWESOME paint job.
Everything about the truck works, started right up in a cold VT winter after sitting for about a month. The tires are 225/75R15 Coopers on nice looking polished steel wheels.
Obviously it is a solid front axle, everything is tight in the front end, the knuckles are in good shape, hubs engage well and 4x4 works perfect.
I have only owned it for about 500 miles, and I can tell the original owner took very good care of it, regular maintenance, and like I said before the interior is pimpin.
I would like to get $4200 for it, or trade for something not as pretty that I can beat on in the woods. I have an 87 samurai yota axles and I had a 98 tacoma that I miss dearly (toyota bought it back).
The truck is currently in Johnson VT, but my family lives in CT, so I can deliver anywhere within those areas within reason. I take 84-91-89 home, or take Rt7-22a-22.
Well, here are the pics.
This it the most recent pic of it with snow all over it.
These are pics from the stealership.
Interior pics.
Rear sliding glass.
Here are the rust pics.
This one is rust from the top of the tailgate.
The front portion of the rear driver side fender.
The driver side emblem.
Little bit of rust on the hood.
Under the passenger side emblem.
Front part of the rear passenger side fender.
Rear portion of the rear passenger side fender.
And there is a bit of rust on the front of both fenders where it comes down (like below the signal/marker lights). Ill get pics of that too.
Sorry the truck is dirty in the pics, if this ad spikes some interest I will most definitely wash/wax detail it and get better pics up.
Short of the minimal rust (for a New England truck) it is in great shape.
Thanks for looking.
