'97 4runner 4x4 2.7L For Sale-Lots of Pics
Hey guys,
PRICE DROP--$7000obo
Well, its time to move-on to something newer even though the 4runner has been a great vehicle. My loss is your gain...I've owned it almost 3 years now and I believe only the second owner. It hasn't ever given me any troubles other than the notorious warped rotors (fixed finally with Brembo), and the 2.7L's manifold crack. I get about 18mpg in the city and as much as 23mpg highway.
1997 Toyota 4runner
4x4--Automatic
139k miles
2.7L engine
PDL, PW, CC, CD, AC
Extras:
--Westin push-bar up front
--Custom 5-spoke rims from newer model year
--Airlift 1000 airbags to combat the saggy rear and 1-inch spacers up front to level out
--Sonoran Steel 1" diff drop
--Bilsteins all around
--Hitch (not wired, used for bike rack)
--Yakima Cross bars (bike racks will be removed)
--OEM Front and rear wind deflectors
--Installed rear lights (not wired to back up lights)-has switch in cab
--Herculined rocker panels
--Very minimal RUST-none on frame rails (i know its from the midwest but thats it)-see pictures
--Currently has Pioneer head unit (may remove)
--Infinity Speakers (staying)
--KC Slimlites (removing)
--Engine block heater (coolant type--see pictures)
--Diff breather mod.
Maintenance:
-Synthetic all around
-Brembo rotors and Hawk pads--May '07 or 135k miles
-CV axles and alignment done--August '07 or 137k miles
-Bridgestone Revos 265/75/16--at roughly 132k miles
-Exhaust Manifold replaced at 126k miles with OEM
-All belts replaced around 125k miles or in late '05
(Has timing chain not timing belt and its in good shape)
-Diehard Weatherhandler Battery at 120k miles
-Air Filter just replaced the other day
-Spark plugs (platinum) around 125k miles
-Fuel Filter replaced 137k miles
-All fluids have been replaced at least once since I've owned it.
The bad:
-Had a hairline crack in valve cover, didn't really leak I just noticed it from playing around under the hood. Its located right at the front of the cover and I sealed with JB Weld and hasn't leaked or given me any other troubles since. That was about 7k miles ago.
-Backed into a pole last summer, and left a small dent in the tailgate
-Has two door dings in drivers side door
-No antenna but motor works (I keep it disconnected so it doesn't run), I have satellite radio and didn't see a need to replace the antenna after it broke.
-Drivers seat has tear
Pictures (Sorry for the dirty one's, they're from today and we've had crappy weather lately. The others are from around x-mas after I cleaned it up).

There she is. I should mention that all the maintenance and work done has been completed by myself. I took it to a shop for the CV axles but thats it. I strongly believe in preventive maint. and I promise I'm anal as hell when it comes to my vehicles. This 4runner has been babied and has seen almost no off-road travels. Some gravel roads and a few rocks.
I'm not really sure of an asking price but for now will say $7600. I realize this is the 2.7L but has been very well cared for and I'd love to see it go to a good home here on yotatech!
Thanks guys, and let me know if you have any questions. I may change and add stuff to this if I think of other stuff...
