Want to sell: 1990 Toyota Long bed 4x4 Pickup. Whittier, California $3500.00. Reasonable offers considered, of course. Up for sale is my 1990 Pickup with 203,xxx miles. Engine was replaced with an ATK at 152,229 miles on 7/01/06. I have had the truck inspected by YotaMasters in Corona, California. Please refer to the attached document for mechanical information. I would be happy to attempt to answer any questions related to the mechanics, but personally, my mechanical skill set is very minimal other than changing oil and cleaning windows. This is the reason I am providing the document for potentials buyers. I am representing this truck as honestly as possible.
I have owned the truck since 2000. I am the second owner. The seat was reupholstered a month ago, the interior is good for a 30-year-old truck and the paint is original (not perfect but decent for a 30-year-old, California Rust-Free Truck). The front bull bar has rust and is ugly, the rear bumper is factory and would look nice with new paint, a repair and end caps. The tires hold air but are on their last legs. The wheels are 30 years old, perhaps they are considered “vintage”, I think black steelies would look better. The dash cap is toast. Replacements are available on Ebay, though expensive. Glue on dash caps are available and affordable.
My hope was to turn this into a fun weekend camping/fishing vehicle with a moderate Old Man Emu kit and 32” tires. Add to this any Christmas list items and it could be a unique and somewhat rare Long Bed desert / mountain cruiser. I consider this to be a project vehicle for the right guy or gal who is prepared to make the needed repairs and who has the mechanical skill-set to do so. I do not represent this truck as a reliable daily driver as it sits. It does run and drive, but it needs help with some “personality quirks”. Again, this is why I furnish the document from a well-known Toyota 4x4 expert.
I hope this truck goes to someone with the knowledge to make the repairs and turn it into something fun. I would rather it not go to a lawn and garden service. It is registered as a non-operational vehicle, is stored in my garage and is started and run for a few minutes every few weeks.
Feel free to contact with any questions. I will answer all as best I can.
Thank you for looking, it is appreciated.
