1990 4Runner 3.0 Auto, Baker City Oregon, $3900

165K miles on body, 24K miles on 3.0 rebuilt by a Toyota Certified Tech. He also put new Rancho's on it. No butt sag.

I've owned it since the rebuild (2006). I put 24K miles on it in 7 years. My daughter used it for a DD last year.

Comes with 8 wheels. Four Kumho Venture AT's with 23.5K miles on them (about done). Four Winterforce studded with less than 500 miles total; basically new tires. See pics.

I wrinkled the right front door on a hunting trip coupla years ago. See pics.

Comes with a complete replacement door from salvage yard, perfect condition, Blue paint. I bought it last year. We were planning to do body and paint, but got sidetracked by other projects.

Everything works. Everything. The A/C even blows cool air. Not super cold, but cooler than outside. All electrical systems work. The retracting antenna works. The tape deck works. The radio, all lights, all windows, all locks, all folding seats, all heat and defrost, the jack, the engine, everything.

Stuff I did in 2007:
ISR air intake mod to replace the convoluted oem intake path. See pics.
I installed a Taurus efan. Search my username and you can find the install thread. The Hayden temp probe is at the bottom of the radiator, so if you get into high water, the water will reach the controller before it reaches the fan. It works. We don't do high water, but I tested it with a garden hose. I also installed a toggle switch behind the e-brake handle to manually turn the fan on. I did this because i wanted to be able to force the fan to stay on from the beginning of a long climb, in case the motor wanted to get hot. It never gets hot, so I never use it. But it's there.
I installed a push-button switch behind the e-brake handle to interrupt the antenna function. If you push the button, then turn on the radio, the antenna won't come up. This keeps you from ripping off the antenna if you turn on the radio while driving trails.
Installed Aisin manual hubs. (Comes with the original oem hubs, in case you like spinning your CV's full time, you can put them back on.)
Flushed the tranny.
New water pump, because the tech said he re-used the old one.

Stuff I did in 2011:
All driveline fluids: diffs, x-fer case, tranny flush. Repack hubs. (they were totally clean, waste of time).

Stuff I did in 2013:
new brake pads, and replace right rear wheel bearing and both seals, because I found a residue of gear oil starting in the brake area.

Stuff I did in 2014:
New right front CV axle assy, because the boot developed a tear.

Engine is healthy, starts easy, idles smooth, pulls strong, gets 17mpg hwy if you drive nice. 2H, 4H, and 4L all work. OD override works (keeps it in 3rd gear). No trailer light harness, because I never pulled anything with it. The truck is mostly stock. No mods other than those described here.

Ready to go. Reply here or send me a PM.

I'm selling it b/c my son just bought a hi-boy, and we need garage space to work on that project, and nobody uses the Yo anymore. Poor thing is lonely.

I have a little time in Dec, might be able to arrange delivery in exchange for fuel cost plus one beer. If delivery is considered, it's only to a stand-up guy like me, with no screwing around. You pay up front, I drive the rig to you, we have a beer, and I go home.

It's a nice rig, but it's 24 years old, so you're not buying a new car here. The driver's seat needs a seat cover. The other seats are in excellent condition.

If you have questions, ask 'em.

Thx.

snow tires for sale?

I live in Lostine and just got back here with a '94 4runner I bought in N. Arizona with 31x10.5x15 tires that need replacing.

(original owner rig with 52,000 garaged miles in amazing condition ...glad they kept it out of the sun)

Are you interested in selling the snow tires and rims...what size are the tires?
Thanks
John

Hi John,

235/75 15's. Slightly smaller than your road tires (mine too), but for winter driving, irrelevant.

I just put the ads up yesterday. I live in a winter zone. If a local buyer is interested, the snow tires will be an important part of the deal. So I'm gonna wait quite a while before selling off just the winter tires.

If somebody in Vegas buys it, then I'll probably be sitting on these wheels & tires. If that happens, I'll contact you and see if you're still in the market.

Congrats on your new runner.
