Sawzall vs. Axle Tube

Sawzall vs. Axle Tube
FYI: You can cut an axle tube with a sawzall.
Milwaukee 12 amp orbital sawzall with a "Torch" fine tooth blade, a little oil, and it went through so fast it was disturbing. Didn't even dull the blade.
I was afraid I'd need a metal chop saw for that.

The "Torch" blades are pretty good, but you want to be reallyimpressed, check out the Lenox Gold blades. They are bimetal with the gold titanium nitride coating on the teeth.
Sawzalls actually do pretty well with thicker metal like the axle tube...the key is to have at least 5 teeth in the cut, but no more than 9, so pick the teeth per inch depending on how thick the material you're cutting is.
