The problem with Grainger, is that you have to have an account, or they usually won't deal with you.

I have a good story going with that...

One time, not too long ago, I needed a replacement power cable for a Milwaukee power tool. Well it turns out that they are not so easy to come by (especially the one I was looking for) so my last local bet was to go to Grainger's.

1) I came in 20 minutes after store close.
2) I wanted to buy without an account.

I got so much sh** from the manager (I guess he was just in the mood for messin' with people) and then I ended up getting the cable on the OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) account for 30% off.

Seriously though, calisurfer is right, usually they'll just show you the door. I mean literally, if you say you have no account and you come to a store, the salesman will get up and tell you that he will open the door for you.

not sure what to say about the responses on Grainger....

Never had a problem getting anything out of them or ever being told "You need an Account".
