Kobalt vs Craftsman tools
#81
I'd run craftsman over kobalt just because Ik craftsman has a warranty. I do have kobalt Allen style sockets and haven't broken any. But thats all I have of their's. Everything else feels to cheap. I mostly have snapon or cornwell though bc its most convenient to me to get it replaced and what not.

Last time i went into sears to replace a busted ratchet (it stopped ratcheting), they didn't replace it, they replaced the innards of it and handed it back... been working fine since. At least the girl doing it was cute
Never had a Kobalt... The few that i have used seemed like decent tools.

I have both, a small kobalt 100 pc set for on-the-go wrenching like at the junkyard or something, and a larger craftsman 300 pc set for my home. Personally i like the craftsman more (but that may just be cause its the newer one) but they both perform very well, though the craftsman set seems a bit more sturdy. Alot of the time its just about brand loyalty, trust and history with the brand and budget. I mean if i had the money i would be a snap-on only guy, but until i win the lottery im a craftsman guy, although i do recommend going snap-on for your torque wrench i have one and im very pleased.

the closest Sears to me is 50 miles oneway so I'll go with Kobalt from Lowes myself. I used to be a really big craftsman guy myself back in the day but if I can get a lifetime warranty with Kobalt then I'll go that route also.
